Familias rurales le apuestan al turismo en San Vicente del Caguán

Violencia, homicidios, narcotráfico y extorsión son algunos de los titulares que ocupan los principales medios de comunicación para referirse a San Vicente del Caguán. Una tierra rodeada de problemas y necesidades, pero con habitantes que buscan cada día la posibilidad de poder vivir en paz.

Tras la sombra de la guerra, la zona de despeje y un proceso de paz fallido, esta región esconde algunos de los atractivos turísticos más espectaculares de todo el departamento del Caquetá y que, los campesinos en cuyos predios están, han decidido darlos a conocer y convertirlos en oportunidades de ingresos para sus familias.

San Vicente del Caguán está ubicado en la zona norte del departamento y su extensión comprende desde el pie de monte de la cordillera oriental hasta la llanura amazónica que conecta con los llanos del Yarí. Estos son algunos de los lugares de turismo rural que pudimos visitar.

Ubicada a unos 40 minutos de San Vicente brinda un recorrido fascinante por un cañón natural que forma el cauce de una quebrada a través de enormes rocas. En esta aventura, se debe atravesar por en medio de aguas cristalinas, un tramo de cerca de 6 kilómetros enfrentando sectores donde se debe nadar y en otros cruzar por debajo de las rocas. Al final podrán disfrutar de un almuerzo típico de la región.

Donde finaliza la cordillera oriental y al mejor estilo de lo que conocemos de Chiribiquete, esta reserva está ubicada sobre la cima de una montaña desde donde se aprecia la llanura amazónica, los grandes precipicios que la rodean y una vista de San Vicente en horas de la noche. Aquí encontrarán carpas para pasar la noche, una cena campesina, fogata y las mejores historias.

Un recorrido natural bordeando un riachuelo de aguas cristalinas que de a poco te absorberán y terminaras descendiendo por su cauce, sorteando chorros, cascadas y charcos a los que no te podrás resistir a saltar. Esta aventura está acompañada de un delicioso almuerzo y la experiencia de convivir con los campesinos que ocupan estos territorios.

Una hacienda dedicada a la producción ganadera y lechera ha dedicado sus espacios para brindar servicios turísticos a los visitantes que, no solo podrán vivir la experiencia de la ganadería, el ordeño y montar a caballo, sino que podrán acampar, bañarse en una enorme y cristalina represa y realizar recorridos ecológicos por en medio de bosques protegidos donde habitan múltiples especies de animales y plantas nativas.

Estos emprendimientos les han permitido a las familias campesinas una nueva posibilidad de obtener ingresos de las cosas y los lugares que siempre los han acompañado en sus terrenos y que por su cercanía, no sabían el valor que tienen para las personas de afuera. Han podido descubrir también la gran herramienta que es la tecnología para mostrar sus sitios y sobre todo han tenido la oportunidad de hospedar y atender a visitantes de la región y del mundo que, se van maravillados con la riqueza natural, hídrica y sobre todo humana que tiene este rincón escondido del departamento y del país.
