Arnulfo Gasca gobernador del departamento del Caquetá, Indicó que desde su administración se rechaza totalmente los hechos violentos que se están registrando en estas zonas del departamento debido a la presencia de grupos armados ilegales como éste que opera en la zona de Cartagena del Chairá y que habría acabado con la vida de estos dos militares.
El mandatario manifestó que se aumentará el pie de fuerza en todas las zonas Rurales del departamento buscando la seguridad de todos los Caqueteños y tratando de acabar con los grupos ilegales que se financian con negocios de narcotráfico y minería ilegal
