Trasladan a Carlos Mattos de La Picota a la cárcel de Cómbita

Luego de que la unidad investigativa de Noticias Caracol revelará las salidas que hacía Carlos Mattos desde La Picota a un edificio de su propiedad en el norte de Bogotá, en la tarde de este miércoles, 2 de marzo, el empresario fue trasladado a la cárcel de Cómbita.

“Fue trasladado el señor Carlos Mattos desde la Penitenciaria La Picota, en Bogotá, hacía el establecimiento el Barne, ubicado en Cómbita, Boyacá. Allí estará con personal de custodia, que brindará vigilancia permanente. (…) Mattos será recluido en las mismas condiciones en las que se encuentran los demás privados de la libertad”, informó el ministro de Justicia, Wilson Ruiz.

Además, el funcionario añadió: “Estamos evaluando la adopción de otras medidas drásticas para evitar que casos tan graves e indignantes como este vuelvan a ocurrir”.

Por otro lado, en la noche de este miércoles, agentes del CTI de la Fiscalía allanaron la oficina que Mattos visitó en los últimos días y donde se habría reunido con varias personas, entre ellas su abogado Iván Cancino, en sus repetidas salidas de la cárcel.

Precisamente, Cancino, aseguró que se sorprendió al ver a su defendido en la oficina el pasado 25 de febrero. Sin embargo, afirmó que Mattos justificó su salida por unos exámenes médicos que debía recoger.

«No tengo por qué dudar de él; además, porque he estado con él en tres citas médicas en controles postoperatorios. Me he visto con él en la fundación Santa Fe. Ese día (el 25 de febrero) había una reunión en la oficina, donde me he visto varias veces con sus hermanos, ese día se ve a Jorge Mattos, también. Yo lo saludo como a todos mis clientes, muy cordialmente. Obviamente me sorprende, tengo una conversación con él bastante largo, que no puedo revelar. La explicación que él me da es que tiene que recoger unos exámenes (médicos) en el transporte y que es excepcional», sostuvo Cancino.

Asimismo, dio detalles de lo que habría ocurrido en el interior de la oficina a la que llegó Mattos en un vehículo del Inpec.

«Lo que ocurrió en la oficina no fue solo una charla de su caso. Ahí también le hice valoraciones de lo que estaba sucediendo y de posibles consecuencias. Estamos partiendo de que hay una fuga de presos que no se da, los requisitos para tipificar una fuga de presos son claros, no hay la más mínima posibilidad de que se tipifique. Claro que se genera sospecha, por eso son muchas de las preguntas que le hice, que no puedo revelar porque es un tema cliente – abogado», aseguró.
