Fuentes confirmaron que, gracias a una investigación adelantada por la Fiscalía y contrainteligencia del Ejército, fueron capturados dos sargentos y cuatro soldados profesionales en Bogotá, Ibagué y Piedecuesta, Santander, señalados de vender armamento a organizaciones al margen de la ley.
Según la investigación, los seis militares capturados desviaban armas, partes y municiones desde distintos batallones del país para, presuntamente, venderlos a grupos ilegales, como las disidencias de las Farc, el ELN y el Clan del Golfo.
Por los hechos, la Fiscalía les imputó cargos por los delitos de concierto para delinquir agravado, porte y tráfico de armas de uso privativo de las fuerzas armadas y enriquecimiento ilícito.
Solo uno de los sargentos aceptó los cargos. Fiscalía solicita que sean enviados a la cárcel por los hechos.
