Hace 3 días que Diego Chilatra Peña, un campesino, hijo de campesinos de la zona rural de Cartagena del Chaira, recibió el título del pregrado de Ingeniería Agroecológica. Acompañado de sus padres, el nuevo profesional se robó la atención durante el evento.

Vestido con la pinta de cualquier campesino en una jornada de trabajo, Diego asistió a su ceremonia de grado con una camiseta de un equipo de futbol, un jean, botas de caucho, poncho terciado y un sombrero de trabajo.

Mientras sus compañeros compraron o alquilaron un traje para este día especial, Diego quiso homenajear a los campesinos, ya que se siente orgulloso de sus padres y de haber podido superarse en medio de un departamento tan golpeado por la violencia.

Para finalizar Diego y su familia organizaron un evento para su grado. Una fiesta de dos días que tendrá campeonato de microfútbol, carreras de caballos y peleas de gallos, además del transporte desde Cartagena del Chaira hasta la finca y su regreso.
