Predios de personas adineradas, algunas de las cuales quieren deforestar para construir casas de campo o parcelaciones, están siendo taladas por personas pobres que saben que no tienen ninguna oportunidad de quedarse con ese terreno.

Desde hace varios años se vienen desarrollando proyectos de vivienda de importante valor en toda esta zona desde el seminario menor, en la margen de la vía conocida como la troncal del Hacha. Proyectos que han cambiado el paisaje de todo el sector

Es el momento para que la administración municipal muestre algo de empatía con el medio ambiente del que tanta alardea defender y proteger, pero que en los dos años que lleva, es lo que menos ha hecho. Es hora de pasar de las promesas a la realidad.

La ciudad y el departamento, más que necesitar que se siembren árboles, de los cuales el 90 % no sobrevivirá, necesita es cuidar los que están vivos, los que nos brindan oxígeno, los que protegen el agua que tomamos.

Se necesita es que se sancione a quienes destruyen el bosque, quienes dañan las cuencas hídricas, quienes rellenan humedales y lagunas para construir encima de ellas. Desafortunadamente, muchos de ellos, son amigos y patrocinadores de los mandatarios de turno.

No se ve un buen panorama para el departamento, los gobernantes están en lo suyo y del medio ambiente, ya quedará por ahí un cuarto. DIOS nos proteja y ayude.
