Polémica por captura de abuelita de 86 años señalada de robar 3 libras de arroz

La captura de una abuelita de 86 años señalada del robo de 3 libras de arroz en un supermercado de Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, ha desatado una ola de indignación. Según quien dio a conocer el caso, el administrador del establecimiento comercial pedía cárcel para la mujer.

“Tras el hecho, el administrador del supermercado llamó a la Policía. Estos, al llegar y escuchar de voz de la abuelita, de nombre Alejandría, que había tomado el arroz porque tenía hambre, se negaron a trasladarla a la estación policial”, indicó Randy Correa, el hombre que relevó la historia.

Según Correa, “el encargado del local comercial los amenazó (a los policías) con una denuncia ante la Procuraduría General de la Nación y de inmediato notificó a la Fiscalía, quien determinó que la abuela se debía conducir a la estación como parte del debido proceso”.

El caso llevó al pronunciamiento del mismo alcalde de Santa Rosa, José Rodrigo Toro, quien calificó lo ocurrido como una “indignante captura”.

“He dado instrucciones para encontrar a la abuela objeto de la indignante captura, le ofreceremos defensa legal y un albergue con todas las garantías para una vejez digna. Duele la ignominia de aquellos que bendecidos con una mejor posición pierden miserablemente su humanidad”, aseguró.

La situación de la adulta mayor se resolvió, de acuerdo con lo informado por Toro.

“Afortunadamente, la señora ya se encuentra en su casa. Con el apoyo de desarrollo social, Personería y Comisaria de Familia se inician los protocolos de atención especial, psicológica, acceso a centro vida, ruta de atención a la mujer y se le hace entrega de remesa familiar”.
