En una zona de frontera entre Ecuador y Colombia fue ubicado el profesor y líder social Gustavo Calderón, quien estaba desaparecido desde el pasado 29 de agosto del 2021.

Según sus familiares, el docente se encuentra en grave estado de salud hospitalizado en un centro asistencial de Pasto, Nariño, y al parecer será trasladado a la ciudad de Florencia.

Hasta el momento las autoridades no se han pronunciado frente al tema.
