En firme condición de imputado de Uribe por falsos testigos: Corte nuevamente niega anular proceso

Este martes, 12 de abril, con una votación de 9-0, la Corte Constitucional nuevamente le dijo no a la defensa del exsenador Álvaro Uribe Velez la cual pretendía que se le anulara la calidad de imputado en el proceso que enfrenta por falsos testigos.

Y es que el abogado del exsenador, Jaime Granados, había interpuesto un incidente de nulidad contra la decisión de la Corte Constitucional de negar la tutela que pretendía anular la calidad de imputado de Álvaro Uribe en el proceso.

Cabe recordar que el alto tribunal ya le había negado la tutela a la defensa del expresidente en una ocasión, con ponencia del magistrado Alejandro Linares, aquella vez la acción fue negada con 5 votos en contra y 4 a favor.

Esta decisión ratificó la imputación de cargos que dictó un juez contra el expresidente Álvaro Uribe en el proceso por presunta manipulación de testigos y soborno que enfrenta contra Iván Cepeda.

Según Jaime Granados, se había violado el debido proceso por falta de imparcialidad e independencia, al señalar que el caso se filtró a los medios de comunicación.
