El presidente de la República, Iván Duque Márquez, visitó en Ecuador este domingo a su homólogo Guillermo Lasso, se reunió con su gabinete ministerial y la cúpula militar y abordó temas de seguridad, comercio, reapertura de la frontera y la conservación del medio ambiente.
Durante la reunión, aclararon que el primero de diciembre se abrirá la frontera entre Colombia y Ecuador, así lo anunciaron el presidente Iván Duque y su homólogo Guillermo Lasso
Los mandatarios, que se reunieron en el Palacio de Carondelet, conversaron sobre temas fronterizos, de seguridad, transporte, infraestructura vial y de iniciativas relacionadas con el medio ambiente estipuladas y firmadas en la COP26.
“Muy honrado de visitar a nuestro gran amigo y aliado, el presidente Guillermo Lasso, en el Palacio de Carondelet, una gran oportunidad para estrechar la fraterna e histórica relación bilateral que hemos tenido con el hermano pueblo ecuatoriano”, expresó Duque en su cuenta de Twitter.
La reunión se da luego de que Ecuador vivió una crítica situación por el amotinamiento en varias cárceles, en una de las cuales fallecieron tres colombianos el pasado 12 de noviembre.
“Sostenemos reunión ampliada con el presidente Guillermo Lasso, gabinetes ministeriales y cúpula militar. Evaluamos acciones conjuntas en materia de seguridad, comercio, eventual apertura de frontera, y compromiso con la protección del medioambiente”, expresó el mandatario en la red social.
