Colombianos podrán observar el Eclipse Lunar más largo del siglo XXl.

Para comenzar el cierre del año 2021, este 19 de noviembre ocurrirá un fenómeno que será visible en varios lugares del mundo, principalmente en el continente americano. Será un eclipse lunar, donde la Luna tendrá más del 97% de su superficie cubierta por la sombra de la Tierra y tendrá una apariencia rojiza.

Dependiendo de la magnitud del eclipse, pueden aparecer diferentes colores en la superficie lunar. Un color rojo oscuro, oxidado o un gris carbón puede aparecer.

Este fenómeno tendrá la duración más larga registrada de un eclipse lunar en los últimos 600 años, estiman que durará 3 horas y 28 minutos.

 

¿Dónde será visible?

Por la hora que esto ocurrirá, los colombianos podrán ver el eclipse en horas de la madrugada. Para quienes quieran levantarse temprano, este será visible el día viernes 19 de noviembre a las 4:00 de la mañana.

Sin embargo, las condiciones meteorológicas son un factor importante para la visibilidad del eclipse. Si estas son favorables, no habrá mayores problemas para verlo. Además, no habrá necesidad de utilizar ningún tipo de equipos para observarlo, pero para una vista más detallada, se recomienda utilizar binoculares o un telescopio sencillo.

El último eclipse lunar parcial ocurrió en 2018 y duró solo una hora y 43 minutos, dos horas menos de lo pronosticado para este viernes.
