Capturan a tres policías que pertenecían a red que enviaba cargamentos de cocaína a Europa

La Fiscalía General de la Nación dio a conocer que presentó ante un juez de control de garantías a seis personas que harían parte de una red narcotraficante señalada de enviar cocaína desde la terminal marítima de Santa Marta, Magdalena, hacia Rumania, Lituania y otros países de la península balcánica.

Indicó que tres de los integrantes de la estructura ilegal son patrulleros de la Policía Nacional, quienes serían los encargados de permitir el paso de los cargamentos de estupefacientes a la zona de carga para que fueran camuflados entre contenedores que salían rumbo a Europa con frutas tipo exportación y textiles.

Añadió que las demás personas que estarían vinculadas a esta red, al parecer, realizaban los contactos para la adquisición y transporte de la cocaína en Colombia, y mantenían las alianzas con las denominadas mafias de los Balcanes.

María Elena Monsalve Idrobo, Directora Especializada contra el Narcotráfico, dijo que «un juez les imputó los delitos de fabricación, porte o tráfico de estupefacientes agravado. Estas personas recibieron diferentes medidas de aseguramiento conforme a su participación y posible responsabilidad en los hechos imputados”.

La información suministrada por la Fiscalía precisa que dos de los policías fueron enviados a la cárcel, mientras que el tercer patrullero involucrado quedó vinculado mediante medida no privativa de la libertad, determinación que fue apelada.

La Fiscalía precisa también que en el curso de la investigación a esta organización le fueron incautadas dos toneladas de clorhidrato de cocaína, las cuales pretendían ingresar a Rumania el 12 de mayo de 2016. En ese momento fueron capturados seis ciudadanos rumanos.

Los procesados fueron capturados en diligencias realizadas de manera conjunta entre la Fiscalía y la Policía Nacional, con apoyo de la agencia estadounidense DEA, en Envigado (Antioquia), Neiva y Pitalito (Huila), Santa Marta (Magdalena), y Popayán (Cauca).
